McLean Engineering helps Colquitt EMC Reach Broadband Partnership Agreement with Windstream

MOULTRIE, Ga. ----  Colquitt Electric Membership Corporation of Moultrie selected McLean Engineering Company to work with the cooperative to provide a broadband partnership feasibility study and associated consulting services, helping Colquitt negotiate a collaboration with Windstream to extend broadband services to unserved and underserved Colquitt EMC members in Windstream’s service area.

McLean provided Colquitt EMC with consulting services to develop a framework for use in determining next steps regarding a potential partnership to provide broadband services to its members, executing Colquitt’s focus on making efficient use of resources.

Colquitt and Windstream were able to build consensus toward a partnership because of their existing joint use relationship.

“We were proud to work with Colquitt EMC and Windstream to build on their long working relationship and establish a new framework to extend broadband service to those who would have no other options,” said Sean Knowles, VP of Business Development and Co-Owner of McLean Engineering.

McLean works with many municipalities, cooperatives and state trade organizations to navigate through joint-use concerns by providing expertise in all areas related to joint-use and pole attachment matters.  Joint use subject matter expertise and   working relationships provide McLean with the unique ability to help build broadband partnerships.
