As a Project Engineer, I mostly work on distribution planning projects and sectionalizing studies. For both, I collect data and system models from the customer regarding the state of their system both past and present. I use that data to project what the system will be like in the future. I run different types of analysis using our projections to determine any issues that might arise and then provide the customer with solutions to those problems. I also create documentation to provide to the customer so that they have a clear plan to follow with project descriptions and costs. Some of these projects can seem like a puzzle where everything you do might affect something else. The challenge that I enjoy is finding what works just right!
