Taylor Electric Cooperative (TX) Selects McLean Engineering for Pole Attachment Inventory and Consulting

Taylor Electric Cooperative, Inc. of Merkel, Texas, recently selected McLean Engineering Company to provide an inventory of joint use pole attachments and to provide consultation on attachment management for its electric distribution system.

As part of its joint use and pole attachment agreements, Taylor Electric is due to conduct a pole attachment count and joint use inventory on its system. The Cooperative selected McLean Engineering to provide this count in an effort to collect updated information on a GIS basis, improve relationships with its attachers, and clean up issues related to attachments.

McLean’s attachment management support helps oversee day-to-day implementation of all obligations related to pole attachments, with the potential to improve relationships with attachers, as well as save the utility money lost due to an inefficient attachment process.

McLean works with many municipalities, cooperatives and state trade organizations to navigate through joint-use concerns by providing expertise in all areas related to joint-use and pole attachment matters.
