Easley (S.C.) Combined Utilities Selects McLean Engineering for Joint Use Inventory
Easley Combined Utilities (ECU) of Easley, S.C., recently selected McLean Engineering Company to provide a pole attachment inventory for its electric department’s 394 miles of distribution line.
As part of its joint use and pole attachment agreements, Easley Combined Utilities is due to conduct a pole attachment count and joint use inventory on its system. ECU selected McLean Engineering to provide this count in an effort to collect updated information on a GIS basis, improve relationships with its attachers, and clean up late transfers.
McLean works with many municipalities, cooperatives and state trade organizations to navigate through joint-use concerns by providing expertise in all areas related to joint-use and pole attachment matters.

About Easley Combined Utilities (ECU) Electric Department
The mission of Easley Combined Utilities is to provide a reliable supply of water, wastewater, and electrical service at the best possible value to the customers of Easley, South Carolina and surrounding areas. ECU fulfills its Mission in the delivery of electric service by owning and operating six electrical substations. These substations deliver power at a voltage of 12.47 kV and serve 25 circuits. The circuits run for a total of 394 miles and serve 14,000 customers. The 394 miles of circuits consist of 248 miles of overhead line and 146 miles of underground line.
Seventeen electrical lineman maintain the substations and circuits that provide highly reliable electricity to ECU customers.
