Blue Ridge Mountain EMC Selects McLean Engineering for Construction Work Plan and Sectionalizing Study
Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation (EMC), based in Young Harris, Ga., recently selected McLean Engineering Company to develop a construction work plan and conduct a sectionalizing study.
McLean Engineering will develop a multi-year plan for the construction of the EMC’s electric system, including distribution, transmission, and substation planning. Included in that plan will be the development of a Milsoft model of the Corporation’s system.
This plan will provide the utility a roadmap for construction planning for the years 2022-26. Following the completion of the construction work plan, McLean staff will perform a sectionalizing study, using BRMEMC's system model to coordinate substation and line devices in an effort to minimize outages and maximize system safety and reliability.
