Sumter EMC Selects McLean Engineering for GIS Inventory

Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC), based in Americus, Ga., recently selected McLean Engineering Company to conduct a GIS inventory.

McLean Engineering will work with Sumter’s staff to visit every pole on its system, inventory the pole top assets and update Sumter’s maps in real time. McLean inspectors will work within Sumter’s existing GIS and inspection platform to provide this service.

McLean takes a low-cost and flexible approach to GIS to allow for efficient control of Sumter EMC’s distribution assets and to make it easy to afford the cost of keeping maps up-to-date – the most essential function of any map.
