The City of Bainbridge, Ga., Selects McLean Engineering for Make-Ready Engineering and Fiber Support

The City of Bainbridge, Ga., recently selected McLean Engineering to provide project management and make-ready engineering services in support of their municipal broadband rollout. In this process, McLean will help the city with project management, construction bid management, and the process of applying to utility pole owners to allow fiber attachments.

The City of Bainbridge will be using some funding from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to invest in its broadband infrastructure and provide service to unserved or underserved households and/or businesses within its service territory. As required by the ARP, Bainbridge is planning to reliably meet or exceed broadband speed thresholds as defined by the ARP.

McLean works with many municipalities, cooperatives and state trade organizations to navigate through joint-use and pole attachment issues and make-ready engineering related to fiber rollouts.
